We couldn't host a successful Collide retreat without volunteers like you!
We have opportunities the week before camp in the office, as well as opportunities the entire weekend of Collide (June 29 - July 1) that are either with the students or behind the scenes. Contact Katie Andre at email@example.com with any questions.
Where is Collide? - Olivet Nazarene University in Bourbonnais, IL
When is Collide? - June 29 - July 1
When & where is Check-in? - It will be at the Willow Campus that you registered with. Please look for a Final Camp Details email with specific details for your student as we get closer to camp.
Where will students sleep? - Students will stay in dorm rooms with girls and boys in different buildings. Your student’s leader will be located on the same floor, and we will also have a night security team patrolling the dorms.
Will there be adult supervision? - Yes, your students will be with their designated small group leader the entire weekend, and there will also be volunteers and staff making sure students are safe.
What if my student has dietary restrictions? - Olivet Nazarene serves a variety of foods at each meal and is experienced with working with students to meet allergy and dietary restrictions. Choices will be available to accommodate most food sensitivities, including a gluten-free salad bar, and special plates will be made for any additional allergy needs. All foods served will be peanut-free. If your student has a serious food allergy or serious diet requirement and you didn’t indicate it on your registration form, please let us know. Students are welcome to pack snacks that are allergy safe and keep them in their backpack throughout the weekend.
What if my student needs medications at Collide? - Please turn in all medications your student will need at Collide during check-in on Friday, June 29, along with a Medication Form. Meds will be given out at meal times and bedtime by our Medic Team. Over the counter medications, like Tylenol, will be available from our Medic Team as needed. Please do not have your student keep medications with them at camp, except for an inhaler or EpiPen if needed.
Are there alternate transportation possibilities? - A student will have the best camp experience if they can participate the entire weekend without interruption. If your student must miss part of camp, they will be permitted to either be dropped off late or picked up early, but not both as each arrival and departure interrupts an entire small group. Also note that Olivet Nazarene is an hour and half away from Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington. Contact Katie at firstname.lastname@example.org to get the alternate transportation permission form.
What will my student do at Collide? - Throughout the weekend, your student will have intentional small group time, participate in activities that will allow them to dive deeper into their faith, and of course, have tons of fun!
Will there be medics onsite? - Yes, we will have a Medic Team staying with us all weekend.
If I didn’t purchase a t-shirt with registration, can my student still get one? - Yes, they will be available to purchase at Collide for $10.
