WHAT IS BREAKAWAY?
Breakaway is the Fall retreat experience for the Jr. High students (6th, 7th, and 8th graders) of the South Barrington campus of Willow Creek Community Church. This weekend is designed to catalyze growth in students’ relationships with God and their small groups. We hope your student can join us!
WHEN/WHERE IS BREAKAWAY?
Breakaway is November 1-3 at the Pheasant Run Resort in St. Charles, IL.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
$209 through September 16
$225 through October 7
$239 through October 20
WHAT IF MY SON/DAUGHTER HAS MEDICATIONS TO TAKE?
All medications must be turned in to our nurses at check-in along with the Medication/Allergy form below. All medications must be in their original containers. Please send only what your student will need at camp.
WHERE DO THE STUDENTS SLEEP?
Students will be staying in hotel rooms and are housed with their small groups. We cannot accommodate specific roommate requests. Pillows and blankets are provided by the hotel, and no sleeping bags are necessary.
WHAT SHOULD MY SON/DAUGHTER BRING WITH THEM?

WILL MY SON/DAUGHTER BE WITH FRIENDS? WITH ADULTS?
Every student spends the weekend with their regular Elevate small group, so they’re with their friends all weekend long. Adult small group leaders are with their groups 24/7. Your student will never be without their friends or without adult supervision.
WHAT DO THEY EAT?
All meals are served buffet style with excellent choices that meet most dietary requirements. If your student has a severe allergy, please let us know in the registration form. Your student is also welcome to pack allergy-safe snacks.
DO THEY GET A FREE SHIRT?
Breakaway T-Shirts are available for purchase when you sign up your student for Breakaway for an additional $10. These T-shirt fees help us send our Leaders to camp for free! Your student will get their shirt when they check in for camp on Friday, October 26, but you must pre-purchase the t-shirt.
IS THERE FINANCIAL AID?
If you are in need of financial assistance, please apply as soon as possible through the Financial Aid link below. Once you submit your application, you will receive a response via email within 5 days.
WHAT IF I HAVE TO CANCEL?
A processing fee of $50 will be charged for cancellations prior to midnight, October 14. After October 14, no refunds will be issued. This includes unfortunate events like your student getting sick or injured and is no longer able to attend camp.
WHEN/WHERE DO THE STUDENTS CHECK IN?
Friday, November 1 in the Main Lobby of Willow. Staggered check-in based on grade: 6th Graders at 6:00pm, 7th Graders at 6:10pm, 8th Graders at 6:20pm. Buses will leave at 7pm for Pheasant Run. Please eat dinner before you arrive.
WHEN/WHERE DO THE STUDENTS RETURN?
Buses will arrive back at Willow South Barrington on Sunday, November 3 at 12pm. Students, luggage, and medications will be at the E Entrance (by Dr. B’s). Parents are encouraged to arrive early (around 11:20) to help with unloading luggage.
